Arbitration Association of Chinese Taipei
The Association is established as the sole arbitration institution of Taiwan and approved by the Ministry of Interior in 1955.
It is a non-profit and non-government organisation administering disputes resolution in Taiwan and prospectively in Asia-Pacific region. It operates under the Board of Directors which is composed of leading business and professional people in Taiwan. Management and administration are conducted by the Secretary section.
Aside from the Secretary section, there are fourteen committees engaged in arbitration promotion and research: Construction Dispute Arbitration Research Committee; International Trade Arbitration Research Committee; Maritime Dispute Arbitration Research Committee; Intellectual Property Rights Dispute Arbitration Research Committee; Arbitration Law Research Committee; Finance, Securities and Insurance Dispute Arbitration Research Committee; Cross-Strait Affairs Research Committee; Information and Electronics Dispute Arbitration Research Committee; Arbitrator Appointment Committee; Activity Promotion and Development Research Committee; Real Estate Dispute Arbitration Promotion Committee; Arbitrator Training & Communication Committee; Arbitrator Ethics Committee; Publication Editorial Committee.
Functions / Activities / Services
The Association provides a variety of services in arbitration and mediation and gains recognition nationwide. Through unique experience of more than 5 decades, the Association administers different disputes ranging from construction, maritime, securities, international trade, intellectual property rights, insurance, cross-strait disputes, information technology, etc.
