KLRCA maintains an International Panel of Arbitrators which contains the names of eminent jurists and highly experienced arbitrators drawn not only from the countries in the Region, but also from countries in other regions around the world.
Parties to a dispute will find it more advantageous to resolve their dispute by arbitration under the Rules of KLRCA for the following reasons:
-
KLRCA is recognised in the Malaysian Arbitration Act 2005 as the appointing authority, where KLRCA continues enjoying the immunity and independence from court interference in carrying out the function as appointing authority
-
Foreign lawyers are not prohibited from appearing in the arbitration proceedings held under the Rules of KLRCA
-
Malaysia is a party to the 1958 New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards. Arbitral Awards of KLRCA are enforceable in countries which accede to the Convention
